Generation II
- In Generation II , although it is possible to store the Silver Wing in the PC , Lugia will only appear if the Silver Wing is currently in the Bag . If the player defeats or runs away from Lugia, it will be permanently unavailable in the current game.
Generation IV
- In Pokémon SoulSilver, both the Silver Wing and Tidal Bell are required to summon Lugia. In Pokémon HeartGold, only the Silver Wing is required.
- In both Pokémon HeartGold and SoulSilver, if the player defeats or runs away from Lugia, it will reappear the next time the player enters the Hall of Fame .
