History & significance

A shifting, haunted cavern reached through Sendoff Spring after the Champion is defeated. Its rooms loop unpredictably around stone pillars, and Giratina waits at the heart of the maze in Diamond, Pearl, and Brilliant Diamond/Shining Pearl after Platinum moves its primary story encounter to the Distortion World.

Walkthrough

Step-by-step guide

  1. 1

    After becoming Champion, reach Sendoff Spring from Route 214 and enter the cave behind the spring.

  2. 2

    Move through rooms until you find three pillar rooms; the cave resets if you pass through too many rooms without finding them.

  3. 3

    Track the pillar count carefully and avoid wandering randomly once the third pillar appears.

  4. 4

    Save before entering the final chamber and challenge Giratina at the end of the maze.
